Coach Mike - Checking In

Summer is coming to an end, kids are getting ready to go back to school, autum is just around the corner.  For me, that means earlier mornings and working even harder.  What does the end of summer mean to you?  I'm just about to wrap up the Build Phase of Body Beast.  I'm excited to check my progress and see how it's been treating me.  How are your workouts going?  Do you need a boost or some pointers?  Let me know.  Be sure to keep the questions and feedback flowing.  If you have a good story to share, send it to me and I can share it with the team.

I blog about the things that are interesting to me and going on in my life as well as the things that come up in my interactions with you.  You all give me ideas for my next write-up so keep them coming.  First up, I shared one of my new favorite Chocolate Shakeology recipes, Mocha Iced Coffee Shakeology?  For me, it a great quick way to get my Shakeology, a caffeine pick-me-up and some good protein in the morning.  Next up, I talked about Elbow Pain, specifically tennis elbow.  I've had tennis elbow for a few months now and I've started to make some good progress on getting it healed up.  Even though I have some aches, I follow the Body Beast slogan, Whatever It Takes.  I have goals and to reach those goals, I don't make excuses to myself or you guys.  I know what I have to do, so I do it.  That also goes along with my diet.  With Body Beast, I have to Eat to Gain Weight.  I realize that it's not a problem most people have, but after spending nearly two years restricting my intake, the dietary needs of trying to build muscle is a whole new ball game.  I've also hit a milestone with my 100th Blog Post.  I tried to reflect on my journey so far and look forward to what is yet to be.  I wrapped up talking about Failure.  It doesn't seem like a normal topic for me, but really, without if you aren't failing, you aren't trying.  I know many people, myself included, who didn't put their all into P90x or Insanity and rationalized their results or just gave up.  If you start again and give it a little more effort, you didn't fail, you just have another chance to do better next time, so go out there and do it.

You're already pushing play every day, so make sure you enter the Beachbody Challenge.  As you're trying to improve your fitness, you can be entered for a chance to win some great prizes, and hopefully add some incentive to meet your personal fitness goals.  I recently won the $500 daily prize just for logging my workouts.  No matter what kind of results you get, when you take the Beachbody Challenge and complete a program, you get a shirt.  But, the best part, it doesn't cost you a cent to enter the Beachbody Challenge.  That's right...all you need to do is keep doing what you're doing and push for the best results you can achieve.  If you're already working out, you don't need to buy a new program.  If you're already getting results, all you need to do is share those with Beachbody and the world.  Isn't a chance at $100,000 worth it?

If you are looking for some motivation and accountability, I have a message board set up on Team Beachbody, HERE.  Check in with me while you're logging your workouts.  I'm around to help.

Two things I ask:
If you have a question, ask.  Visit me on the Team-TCF Facebook page or Team-TCF.com.  Come to my YouTube site.  You can even go old school and send me an email.  I want to help and your questions help me learn what is important to everyone.
I’m always here for you, but remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as I’m your coach and you buy them through my site, http://beachbodycoach.com/mikegurka, or by logging in to http://www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain Beachbody site, I get no credit).  It helps with the amount of time I spend researching and answering any of your questions and helping you out.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
